The Port of Montreal is a major international port that welcomes every year more than 2,000 ships carrying all types of cargo to and from all parts of the world. Travel the oceans of time as we celebrate in 2014 the 175th presentation ceremony of the famous Gold-Headed Cane, awarded to the captain of the first ocean-going vessel in port each year, and the 50th anniversary of year-round navigation to and from Montreal.
